“This is definitely one where you’ll want to have all the books before starting because I swear you won’t be able to stop.”
~ Under the Covers

I was a little intimidated about starting this book because I read a review that said it was full of angst. While I’m okay with angst for the most part, I worried for Dex and Sloane. I don’t like seeing them unhappy.

However I found that the angst claim isn’t entirely true. Yes, there’s angst but it happens in the last quarter of the book only. I went through the entire book expecting heartbreak but there’s actually a lot of hilarious bits and action than angst.

But when the angst does come, it’s laid on thick! You can definitely feel it and it makes you cheer for these boys even more.

That being said, I love everyone in this series! Each character is so individual yet compliment each other greatly. I even love Isaac Pierce! Cochet reveals some tantalizing bits of information about the other THIRDS members which I already knew but was will floored by, just because it gets me excited about the future books in the series. This is definitely one where you’ll want to have all the books before starting because I swear you won’t be able to stop. I’m already diving into the next one!

About Charlie Cochet

m/m Romance author by day, artist by night, Charlie Cochet is quick to succumb to the whispers of her wayward muse. From Historical to Fantasy, Contemporary to Science Fiction, no star is out of reach when following her passion. From hardboiled detectives and society gentleman, to angels and elves, there’s bound to be plenty of mischief for her heroes to find themselves in, and plenty of romance, too!

  1. Glad you are enjoying the series. This is one of my favorites. I’m ready to re-read Smoke and Mirrors.

  2. You are amazing- I read book one and fell hard. I’ve promised myself to buy and devour the entire series as a reward for finishing edits without a breakdown. One scene to add and Mission Accomplished! Thanks Annie!

  3. I’m still reading this one, but I’m saving your review to read when I’m done. Just in case there are any spoilers I don’t already know from spoiling myself on the author’s website, lol.
