Hi Kylie! Welcome to UTC! Since this is your first visit here, letโ€™s get to know you a little more. Tell us five interesting things about yourself that readers wouldnโ€™t know.

Thank you very much for letting me visit! Alrighty, five things about me:

1. I have tattoos of books on my upper right arm. I figured if I was going to get tattooed somewhere relatively public, it had better be ink about something I love.

2. I play the guitar. Not well, but still, it counts.

3. One of the first rock concerts I ever went to was Warrant of โ€œCherry Pieโ€ fame. Iโ€™m not saying Iโ€™m proud…

4. Iโ€™m Australian born and bred. Iโ€™ll be making my first ever trip to the U.S. this October for a book signing in Portland. I am seriously over excited about it!

5. Lick is my third book. Iโ€™ve actually had two Post-Zombie-Apocalypse Erotic Romances called Flesh and Skin, published previously. The zombies donโ€™t do it. I leave the smexy stuff up to the survivors. They need that life-affirming, hot and sweaty, action.

LICK is your New Adult Contemporary Romance that is out right now! Could you please tell us a little about LICK?

Lick is about a girl who goes to Vegas for her 21st birthday and drinks ALL the drinks. Every last one of them. She wakes up the next morning with a hang-over and a husband, who just happens to be a big rock star. Whether or not they can build a relationship from such a crazy start, is the story Iโ€™m telling.

Why did you decide to write a story about a rock star? It must have been a really tough decision to spend so much time with David ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ahhh, David. He was a pleasure to write. I think if youโ€™d spent a good chunk of your life living the rock and roll life style, you couldnโ€™t help but be jaded. Also, artists and musicians are funny, complex creatures. Not so easy to live with. Theyโ€™re passionate but their minds are elsewhere a lot of the time. Plus, heโ€™s hot. I really admire that about him.

Care to share your favorite quote from the book? And please tell us why you love it so much!

โ€œSeriously, I f**king love your wife, man. Sheโ€™s awesome. Can I have her?โ€

Mal said it, Davidโ€™s friend and the drummer for Stage Dive. Heโ€™s one of those off the wall people with no filters. This makes him a lot of fun to have around. I love a man with a sense of humour.

Mal Mal Mal! I LOVE this guy! Please tell me he gets his own book!

Malโ€™s book will be #2 in the Stage Dive series. He really does need to be smacked upside the head by love.

Yay! So excited for Mal’s book!

Which rock star would you like to wake up married to in real life?

Ooh, good question. I do have a soft spot for Adam Levine. Chris Cornell on the other hand, what an amazing voice. And Jeff Buckley was one incredible, talented, beautiful man. So many choices…

Did you have someone in mind while writing both David and Evelynโ€™s characters?

My main visual muse for David was male model, Vinnie Woolston. Youโ€™re welcome. Evelyn is roughly based on Jennifer Lawrence. Sheโ€™s a take no nonsense kind of girl and I love that.

How many more books in the series can we expect?

Four books in all are planned, one for each of the boys in the band.

Have you ever โ€œfakedโ€ reading a book, and if so, which one?ย

I have lied about finishing โ€œWar and Peaceโ€ before. The truth is that at about 100 pages I lost interest and track of who was who. I decided that one wasnโ€™t for me.

If you could write a warning label for yourself as a person or an author, what would it say?

Likes to write sweet, smutty and gritty. Loves the F-Bomb a bit too much.

ย Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thank you very much!

Waking up in Vegas was never meant to be like this.

Evelyn Thomasโ€™s plans for celebrating her twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure as hell never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could just remember how it all happened.

One thing is for certain, being married to rock and rollโ€™s favourite son is sure to be a wild ride.

  1. I am not entering this since I own the book;infact, I had it pre-ordered!! GREAT book…as good as her zombie books!

  2. Love the interview!! =) If I have to give up my life to find myself wed to a rocker, Iยดd have to go with Dave Grohl =D he seems to be such a down to earth – fun type. And heยดs a bit older, I need someone closer to my age (30+)
Thanks for the giveaway & Happy Saturday!!

ps Danko Jones would be a bad-boy rocker to be married to. *rawr*

  3. Thanks for the post! I read this a few weeks ago and loved it! So glad there will be books for each of these guys. Can’t wait to see who Mal finds!

  4. I always thought Rick Springfield was gorgeous. I watched General Hospital faithfully just to see him. If I can’t have Rick, I’ll take Adam Levine! I love all those tats, makes me just wanna lick them all.

  5. Looks like Adam Levine is the clear winner here! Can’t say I blame any of you. That man is damn pretty. Thank you one and all for your interest in the competition and good luck!

  6. Assuming in this fantasy I get to ignore the fact that he’s happily married… I would love to have some overnight alone time with Chris Daughtry!
