ARC Review: Deadlock by Cherrie Lynn

I picked up this book because I have read and enjoyed Cherrie Lynn’s books in the past. Although I was intrigued by the blurb, I really had no idea what the book or series was about and after reading it, I’m still not really sure how I like it.

I like the premise of it. The series covers a team of elite military hackers. However, I struggled with the writing and the dialogue. I just wasn’t a huge fan of the style and found my interest waning on nearly every page. Therefore, it took me a while to finish this book. I guess I just wanted as interested in it as I thought. The heroine’s personality kind of grated on me and the details of the story weren’t as in depth as I had hoped. So that being said, there was a lot to be desired.

I don’t think I’ll continue the series, but it might work for some others. I think I was just expecting more of a stronger plot line than what we actually got.
