“Completely sizzling!” ~Under the Covers

TRY is a Gay-For-You story.  Starts off with a bang, literally, as Logan joins the mile high club with a complete stranger and doesn’t quite stop until you’ve read the last page.  Logan is a successful lawyer, who is sex on a stick, perfectly built muscled body, geek chic look with black rimmed glasses, and intense blue eyes.  He exudes confidence and is one of the cockiest characters I’ve read in a while.  He also happens to swing both ways and when he sets his sights on a man or woman, he gets them, no question about it.

Now he has his sights on Tate, the new bartender at the bar next to his work, After Hours.  Tate is straight and came out recently of a bad divorce.  Tate is another alpha male with a big built.  Never been into guys but there’s something about Logan he can’t stop thinking about.

Boy, are you in for a HAWT ride!  Logan and Tate are one hot pair of alpha males.  Completely sizzling!  Can I just say how much I want to be a fly on the way when these two are getting hot and heavy?  That is something to be seen, and heard.  Damn!  The rawness and the dirty talk!  But as much as I enjoyed all of that smexiness, I could’ve done with just a bit less of it.  Shocking, I know!  But less sex and a little more character and story development would’ve made this a perfect read.

I should also mention that, as a longtime m/m reader, I found some of the connection moments between Tate and Logan were not as “real” for me.  Especially when it came to Tate dealing with the fact that he now liked a guy, after never having an interest.  All of sudden he quickly becomes ok with all that and jumps right in to googling and liking gay porn and “swallowing”.  But other than a couple of points throughout the book that stood out like that, I still enjoyed their story a lot.  I can’t wait to see more about them in the series as they develop that relationship and get closer to each other.  I am looking forward to delving deeper.

  1. I want to read this book, I have seen reviews from 3-5 stars on it. I am a newer M/M reader and have been lucky having started with the Cut & Run series by Abigail Roux and Matter of Time series by Mary Calmes. What I really like in any book is an emotional connection not just physical.
