ARC Review: Passion and Ponies by Tara Sivec

Tara Sivec’s mixture of sexy, bizzare and funny is certainly entertaining ~ Under the Covers

Ava Gilmore knows she has to stop sleeping with Tyler Branson, he can’t hold down a job and all he seems to offer is kinky sex and a My Little Pony fetish. However, strange as he is, he also seems to be the only one who understands how much she hates working for her mum’s company and how much her success on her fashion blog means to her. Tyler knows Ava is a bit of a bitch, which he doesn’t mind so long as she keeps sleeping with him, besides it turns him on a little. But, when his parents reveal a life changing secret he can’t help turning to her.

You know when you hear a great joke several times, you laugh the first couple of times because after all, it is funny….but you get to a certain point where you can barely crack a smile. I found this book a little like that, especially because I have read all of Tara Sivec’s previous books (and enjoyed them) it feels a lot like the same story being told over and over again. That didn’t mean I didn’t have fun reading this, because I did, Tara Sivec’s mixture of sexy, bizzare and funny is certainly entertaining, it just all felt a little too familiar.

The first part of the review may sound a little off putting, don’t let that stop you reading this book, it will make you laugh out loud more than once, some of the situations the characters find themselves in in this book are just too ridiculous and hilarious, you won’t be able to help yourself. And Tyler, despite being, hands down, the strangest guy I have read about has a certain sweet, kinky charm that is hard to resist loving just a little bit. And Ava can be a bitch, but that just made me like her more

I enjoyed this book, it certainly made me laugh, even if at times the jokes and the actions were predictable and despite my lukewarm feelings about this book, that won’t stop me from continuing to read whatever Tara Sivec releases!
