“I’m pleased to say that Marie Harte stays true to his character and definitely delivers a scorching read for my favorite Webster family member.”
~ Under the Covers
I’ve been anticipating J.T.’s book since the McCauley Brothers books came out so I had some really high expectations for him. I’m pleased to say that Marie Harte stays true to his character and definitely delivers a scorching read for my favorite Webster family member. Although J.T. makes an appearance in the other books, I don’t necessarily think you need to read them in order to enjoy this book. However, reading the others will definitely richen the reading experience.
I wonder who Harte was going to pair J.T. with. He’s an incredible character and he needs an incredible heroine. Hope Donnigan fits that bill. I liked her character but actually it took me a while to warm up to her character. She’s complex and because of her family, she is kind of forced to make decisions for herself. This fake dating thing is probably not my favorite trope used in novels so that was probably the only thing that wasn’t my favorite thing about this book. However, I did enjoy the chemistry between Hope and J.T. I’m happy to note that the wait was worth it and I was pleased by J.T.’s happily ever after by the end.

I’ve only read one Marie Harte book – but I liked it. It wasn’t from this series, though. I should look into this one.
