“UNMASKED is overall a simple story and an easy read but also not one that will stay with me long.”
~ Under the Covers

I’ve never read this author before but I saw this book recommended by a friend on social media and I’m always on the lookout for good wintery romances.  I mean, considering that it’s still snowing around where I am sometimes it felt like I could still read this now.

This takes place at the Winter Olympics and both main characters are athletes competing.  Our heroine, Kelly, also known as the Ice Queen because of her icy demeanor, is a Canadian doubles ice skater.  The hero, Blake, is a US snowboarder and son of Olympic royalty as both his parents are very successful.  The relationship between them starts off as a bet his friends make that he can’t get the Ice Queen in bed and there’s a large sum of money attached to him winning.

UNMASKED is overall a simple story and an easy read but also not one that will stay with me long.  I wasn’t expecting the characters to seem so immature considering they’re in their mid twenties but I would forget sometimes their age and think they were nineteen.  That’s not good or bad, I guess, but not what I was looking for.  It made the story a bit more forgettable for me because I didn’t really care enough about either of the characters.

However, if you are looking for a story revolving around winter sports and some fun in the snow then you may want to check this one out.
