Review: Screwed by Kendall Ryan

So here’s what happens.  You’re browsing the blogosphere and you keep seeing this book popping up everywhere.  And everyone is raving about it.  It caught my eye.  I’ve never read this author before but I’ve always wanted to try and I kind of want a good romantic comedy so I decided to give this a try.  I can only say that although the writing is not bad and the story is cutesy, this was a not what I was expecting.

For one, it didn’t live up to all the rave reviews I read.  There wasn’t enough conflict to make for something interesting in my opinion.  It’s just a cute happy story.  Which brings me to the comedy aspect.  I was expecting something funnier.  Not so much.  It’s just light hearted like any other contemporary romance out there.

While I enjoyed the time I spent reading this, I thought it could’ve been more.  Funnier, sexier, more rivetting.  Just fell short of that mark for me.
