ROCK BOTTOM explores the lowest of lows, but I couldn’t find myself looking away. ~ Under the Covers

Here we are with book two of Tristan and Danika’s stories. Well, if you liked the first book, then you’ll enjoy this one even more. A lot of drama happens and in the midst of it all, Tristan and Danika still find time to have smokin’ hot sex. And I’m not complaining.

After the tragic loss of Tristan’s brother, the couple are now trying to build back their life after that unexpected hit. From there, they learn that there are habits that are hard to break. As a series of events spiral out of control, it leaves Danika wondering what she got herself into and if it is worth the risk.

In this story, readers get served two prominent perspectives – Danika and Tristan’s. I really liked this because we were able to see the differences in their thoughts and how they saw the same situations. Also, I love being in Tristan’s head. I find it fascinating as certain key events played out. While I still don’t know how I feel about some major happenings in this book, I will say that it shocked me and kept me reading to find out what happened. I wonder how much this two can take and if it will crumble in the end under all that pressure.

Side characters are heavily pursued in this book and while I liked a couple, a few of them I just didn’t like.

BUT there is a scene from Frankie’s POV that shares some ….insightful looks into James Cavendish in the years before he met Bianca. Can I just say, WHOA!!!!? I miss him J

One last thing, you may be wondering about the ending since this series was supposed to end with this book, but has now been extended into trilogy. It will end with LOVELY TRIGGER set to release next year. So, you ask, is there a cliffhanger?

Brace yourselves.

Kinda, yeah.

Our couple is not together as you can expect with the newly announced presence of the third book in the series so that means some things are left unresolved. There’s a sneak peek of the next book in the series but I will leave that for you to decide if it’s enough.
