“Jessica Sorensen is an author everyone should be reading. Her books aren’t simple angsty NA. There’s plenty of depth and emotion to them and paired with the unexpected twists and turns, Sorensen remains as one of my favorite go-to authors!” ~ Under the Covers

First off I have to start by saying that this series needs to be read in order. Sorensen starts this book where the previous book, Unraveling You ends. Ayden Gregory and Lyric Scott have formed a strong friendship. With Lyric’s happy-go-lucky attitude, it’s easy to fall into their rhythm of things. She is just so uplifting and fun that it nicely balances out the darkness that comes with what Ayden is trying to get through.

After the unexpected death of his brother, Felix, Ayden is forced to come to terms with what happened to him. His memories still seemed to be locked up so with the help of a therapist, he is doing all he can to try and remember what happened to him so that he can help the police find the people who did this to his brother. While all that is happening, Lyric and Ayden’s band are working hard to get their first gig. When Lyric’s father has an opening in a tour he is organizing, it’s their one chance to prove to the world, and herself that she is capable of fulfilling her dreams.

My favorite thing about this book is that we get Lyric and Ayden’s full story from the very beginning as they start off as strangers and become friends. Sorensen does a fantastic job of building their trust in one another in the first book and then slowly tests that in the secrets that Ayden keeps from Lyric. The secrets are starting to eat at him and until he can find out what happened to his brother and sister, he will remain distant. Lyric knows this and does everything she can to help him. That’s what I love about her. She’s all or nothing and her devotion to Ayden makes her very endearing.

RAVELING YOU ends on another cliffhanger. Sorensen enjoys drawing out the suspense and with the last few pages, readers are bound to be begging for the next book. I cannot wait to see what happens to Lyric and Ayden, but also to see what she has planned for Sage who Sorensen has made some advancements with. Either way, Jessica Sorensen is an author everyone should be reading. Her books aren’t simple angsty NA. There’s plenty of depth and emotion to them and paired with the unexpected twists and turns, Sorensen remains as one of my favorite go-to authors!
