Interview and Giveaway with Bella Andre!

Today I am very pleased to announce that we have sexy contemporary romance author, Bella Andre with us! Bella’s fun-loving Sullivan series caught my attention last winter and ever since then I have been anxiously awaiting her next release. Hi Bella! Welcome back to Under the Covers! Your new sexy contemporary romance series featuring the Sullivans has really taken off! Why did you decide to write a series on such a large family?

Thanks so much for having me on your wonderful blog!

I’m thrilled that my Sullivan series has been so well received by readers! I’ve always loved reading books about large families (like Julia Quinn’s Bridgertons), and I’ve always wanted to write a long running series about one family. My books are all about relationships, and while the most important one is the love between my hero and heroine, I also love the scenes that explore the relationships between brothers and sisters as well as the Sullivans and their mother.

Lori aka Naughty has some interesting times in the previous books in the series. Will she have her happily ever after with a special someone?

I promise that every Sullivan sibling will get their happily ever after. Lori is so much fun whenever I get write a scene that she’s in. I love her spark, her energy…and the sensitive side that she tries so hard to hide. I cannot wait for everyone to meet her hero. I’ve been drooling over him (in my mind) for some time now. He’s going to be mega-yummy – and push every single one of her buttons!

Smith is another character that has enthralled me. The movie star seems to have it all. Can you share some interesting tidbits about him?

I don’t want to give too much away, but I can tell you that while Smith is definitely the movie star who has it all, the one thing he doesn’t have is a special woman. I intend to fix that!

Do you plan on writing a book for each Sullivan sibling?

Of course! I can’t imagine leaving one lonely.

This will be a hard question to answer. Who is your favourite Sullivan and why?

I’m so glad you asked! My fave Sullivan is…

No, I couldn’t possibly pick one. I really do love them all for different reasons. Chase is sexy and sweet. Marcus is responsible, with such a delicious dominant side. Gabe is a hero through and through and when he talks dirty, well…I definitely listened! Sophie is so much more than “Nice”, even though that fits her too. Zach is a wisecracking you-know-what and he’s going to fall sooooo hard I almost feel sorry for the guy. Ryan is the easy going one with a surprisingly intense side. Smith is larger than life. And Lori is “Naughty” through and through!

Congratulations on your success in self publishing! What would you say are the pros and cons of this avenue?

Thank you! I’ve had such a great time self-publishing the past year and half. Every day has been an absolute thrill! There are so many pros, and I have to say being able to give my reasers the stories they want is worth all of the work it takes to not only craft and revise the story, but to also arrange editorial, schedule distribution and promotion, make the cover, etc.

Describe a typical writing day for you.

It starts with getting the kids off to school off to school and then taking a walk through the local vineyards with my husband before returning to my home office. Some days I write more in the morning, other days I write more in the afternoons. I love being able to really sink down into my characters and story for long periods of time so that I can laugh and cry with my characters as they try to make their way toward forever love.

You also write under the pen name Bella Riley. How would you say the writing as Bella Andre differs from your work as Bella Riley?

My Bella Riley stories are small town romances vs. my Bella Andre sexy contemporary romances, so they tend to have a larger cast of characters in a smaller setting. I also include secondary romance (and sometimes a third romance, as well, in an older or younger generation) in my Emerald Lake books. Both Riley and Andre books are about the emotion connections between characters who are on a quest for love.

If you could go out on a date with one of your characters, which one would it be and where would they take you?

I’m not sure my husband would be too happy about this question. LOL. Especially since my answer is that I want to take ALL my heroes with me!
