ARC Review: Danger’s Halo by Amanda Carlson

Holly Danger is the best at her job. She’s efficient, discrete and is well known for the crew she keeps. Holly’s the best scavenger in the city so it’s no surprise when she receives an odd request. But when she discovers that her job is to collect a boy on the run, her gears shift and the money just doesn’t seem important anymore. Little does Holly know that saving that young boy could turn out to be her last job.

Danger’s Halo is set hundreds of years into the future. It’s a rough and gritty world full of techie talk that will make any Sci-Fi fan a little giddy inside. I’m talking blasters and hover crafts and all kinds of gadgets that will confuse yet intrigue you all at the same time. Earth is barely livable with constant rain fall and abandoned buildings at every corner. Ms. Carlson does a great job at setting up this post-apocalyptic world down to the last detail. I imagined every scene perfectly!

As far as Holly Danger is concerned, she didn’t disappoint! I always love a good kick ass heroine and her name fits her to the T! She is fierce, tough, smart and sharp. She doesn’t whine, she doesn’t wear her heart on her sleeve, and she definitely knows how to survive! Holly is one bad ass chick! I can’t wait to see what else is in store for Holly and her crew.
