“Like all of Dixon’s books, this was sweet and sexy and I just can’t get enough of her alien heroes and their human mates.”
~ Under the Covers
In Barbarian’s Seduction Ruby Dixon takes us back in time to the beginning of the series. This time round we are seeing the HEAs of the women who resonated almost immediately with their Sa’Khui mates and didn’t get their story told at the beginning of the series. Barbarian’s Seduction tells the bold Marlene’s and the shy Zennek’s story.
Marlene is a characters that we didn’t see much of at the beginning, she was just there but has more recently started to turn up on the page. Unlike a lot of the heroines, especially at the beginning of the series, Marlene takes pretty quickly to being stranded on an ice planet with unknown aliens. Especially when she sees the shy and blushing Zennek, who can’t seem to take his eyes off her.
I really enjoyed this book, there’s a complete role reversal to what you usually find in the IPB books with Marlene being the one in pursuit of Zennek. I love that she knows what she wants and goes for it. I also liked the way this story was told. It was done using flashbacks, so not only do we get the tale of when they first met, but we get to see them years after their resonance as well. Like all of Dixon’s books, this was sweet and sexy and I just can’t get enough of her alien heroes and their human mates.
Another great book in the series and I can’t wait to read whatever Ruby Dixon brings out next!
Pin it for later

Thanks for the review, I’ll be reading this one.
Ahhh, love the shy hero types. Neat that she knows what she wants and pursues him.
Yay! I can’t wait to read their beginning and am definitely interested in the role-reversal.
Thanks for the review Suzanne
