This is an exciting day!ย  Our very good friend, Eden, is celebrating the release of her latest book…CONCEALED DESIRE!ย  All of us at UTC are very happy to see the success she’s having and want to give her, not just a big welcome, but a huge hug and high five! ๐Ÿ˜‰ย  You go girl!ย  Please help us welcome Eden to UTC today as we pry into her life a bit.

Tell us a bit about Eden Summers. Who are you and what do you write about?

Hi everyone. Iโ€™m Eden Summers, a happily married, Aussie mother of two young boys, and have a spunk fireman for a husband.

So far Iโ€™ve published Sneaking a Peek (a contemporary erotic romance), Phantom Pleasure (a short erotic mรฉnage story in the Halloween Heat V Anthology) and my most recent โ€“ Concealed Desire (a contemporary romance novel).

SNEAKING A PEEK is your first erotic romance novella and we’ve all had dirty dreams about sexy firefighters! What’s your favorite thing about Ethan? What makes him sexy to you?

I love firemen. I kinda have to โ€“ my husbandโ€™s one. But there are many great qualities that come with the profession. You need to be strong, physically fit, selfless, brave and in my opinion thereโ€™s also a pinch of bad boy/adrenaline junkie in there, too.

Ethan has all of those qualities along with the added bonus of being a smart ass that knows how to seduce a woman.

What does a day in the life of Eden Summers look like?ย ย ย

I still work part-time and my three year old only goes to pre-school three days a week, so I donโ€™t get to write every day. In Australia itโ€™s currently summer school holidays too, so there isnโ€™t a lot of free sane time. But when I do have a full day of writing I usually start with a huge mug of coffee and only leave my office for bathroom breaks or another caffeine fix.

I donโ€™t watch much television and when I do Iโ€™m always on my laptop doing other writing related things like promo. If I could only turn off Facebook and emails I would get a lot more writing done.

Do you ever write in the buff? Be honest now ๐Ÿ™‚ย ย ย

Nope, I can honestly say Iโ€™ve never been entirely nude while writing. Not yet, anyway. I feel kinda vanilla now. Should I be writing nekkid?

You totally should!ย  Come back and tell us how that goes for you ๐Ÿ˜‰

Does your darling husband read your books?

Yes, so far heโ€™s read my contribution to the Halloween Heat V Anthology, and Sneaking a Peek. I only let him read my stories after release day, when theyโ€™re polished to perfection. And yes, it is a very emotional experience. His opinions are very important to me, but thankfully so far heโ€™s been very supportive. He even has the wives of his fire-fighter buddies reading my work.

Care to share with us a little teaser from your latest release?

Sure! Here is a small excerpt from chapter one of Concealed Desire.

โ€œCome on. Iโ€™ll drive you home.โ€

She pulled away and watched Deanโ€™s fingers travel over her skin, his touch slipping over her wrist and down the sensitive area at the back of her hand. The electrifying sensation from the deliberate caress caused her to momentarily close her eyes for composure. A lift home might be for the best. The train was scary enough when sober, let alone hyped up from Deanโ€™s lingering touches.

Ignoring the soul-shattering jolt his fingers evoked, she straightened and tried to concentrate instead on the way the ground wavered. Walking would be a difficulty she hadnโ€™t anticipated. She cursed the polished floorboards and her love of stiletto heels as she took the first step. The ground moved like a water balloon under her feet, her heel losing traction as she fought for balance. She grasped for anything within reach, trying not to land on her ass and came up with Deanโ€™s arm. His strong as steel arm.

She clung to him with the force of an eagleโ€™s talons, unwilling to let go and gracelessly drop to the floor. The cheeky, superior smirk he fixed her with spoke volumes, making her wish she gripped him for reasons other than her drunken stupidity. She gave a tight smile and a blush crept over her face as she righted herself. โ€œIโ€™m fine.โ€ She patted away the hand trying to keep her steady. โ€œJust practicing my dance moves. That one was called the baby giraffe.โ€

He chuckled, the deep melody covering her like a blanket. โ€œYeah, clearly youโ€™ve got the moves like Jagger.โ€

You were recently published in 2012.ย  What was your journey like from reader to aspiring author to published writer?

My journey has been a lightning-fast rollercoaster ride. I started writing Concealed Desire in December 2011 and it became my first finished story by June 2012. A few weeks later I had a contract with Etopia Press.

While CD went through edits I wrote Sneaking a Peek and Phantom Pleasure, which were both contracted with Etopia and released at the end of last year.

To be honest my journey was quick, but it wasnโ€™t easy. Iโ€™ve had many days that ended in tears, where I thought Iโ€™d never write again. But Iโ€™m still here and my confidence is the only thing holding me back. If I could just get that devil off my shoulder I would be a very happy woman.

What’s next for Eden?ย ย ย

I have many projects on the run. Iโ€™m trying to find a home for a erotic contemp novella and Iโ€™m also half way through the first novel in a rock star series. Iโ€™ve been dreaming about my rockers for YEARS but hadnโ€™t had the confidence to map out the five books at once. So I pulled up my big girl panties at the end of last year, figured out all my characters and the brief outline of their stories and started writing.

I also have half-finished pieces all over my PC and canโ€™t wait to finish those too.

Thanks so much for sharing with us today, Eden.ย  We wish you much success!!

A love that breaks all the rulesโ€ฆ

Since her first day at work, Beth Graison has been in love with Dean Sutherlandโ€”the โ€œSonโ€ in Sutherland & Son. Although heโ€™s an unrepentant player, thereโ€™s an unmistakable connection between them, and she knows he feels it too. But sheโ€™s not about to risk her career for any man, especially one with an office right down the hall whom she works with every day.

Dean Sutherland doesnโ€™t do love, but he does do women. And he hasnโ€™t felt more than sexual attraction for any woman until Beth. Entirely feminine, smart, and with a natural beauty beyond compare, she makes him think about all kinds of uncomfortable thingsโ€”like a future and happinessโ€”things he knows from experience are pure fiction.

When his father, the โ€œSutherlandโ€ in Sutherland & Son, propositions Beth to be more than just an employee, Dean canโ€™t keep her at armโ€™s length any longer. But he doesnโ€™t expect the scorching kiss they share, or the idea that forms when he holds her in his arms. Can he stop his fatherโ€™s manipulating game by making the first move on Beth? Or will his reputation as a womanizer make him just one more Sutherland she wants to ignore?

If you could change that from the one I gave you I would greatly appreciate it.

About the Author:

I live in regional New South Wales, Australia with my two highly energetic sons and a husband I don’t deserve (in a good way).

I’ve been an avid romance reader for years, falling in love with fictional hero’s left, right and center. It wasn’t until early 2011 that I decided to add to my pastime of reading and reviewing and take my own writing seriously.

I joined the Australian Romance Writers Association.

The hunky men and sassy women who dominate my daydreams are now being put to paper, eagerly awaiting their moment in the limelight.

Hopefully one day in the near future I will have something hot and sweet published and available to share with the world.

  1. Congratulations to Eden on her newest release! Love the cover for Concealed Desire! It’s really great that your husband is supportive and has the wives of his fellow firefighters reading your book…

  2. I’m not entering the contest, but I’ve had the pleasure of reading Sneaking a Peek and Concealed Desire. They were both fantastic, but my love is for CD. I love Eden’s writing and the sexy sass she infuses into her characters. There’s a lot to drool over in her books, but also many laugh out loud moments. I’d go so far as to say that she has become an auto-buy author for me. I highly recommend her books.

  3. Wonderful interview! And congratulations Eden my dearest friend on the release of Concealed Desire! I know this has been a labor of love for you. I remember reading bits and pieces of it when you first started writing it and I’m so thrilled for you now that it has come full circle into such a wonderful full length novel. The cover is just beautiful and this book will be a huge success! And have I told you how much I love the shower scene lately? Delilah *hugs*

    1. Lol. Thank you, D. And yes, I think you’ve told me about your love for the steamy shower once or twice. I think a few people have been impressed by that scene.
I could never have done it without out.
