Ms. Zanetti did not disappoint; Realm Enforcers is an exciting start to this new spin-off series.
Kellach Dunne is a witch Realm Enforcer from Coven 9 from Ireland. He is in Seattle working undercover as a member of a biker gang. He needs to find out where the new drug, Apollo is coming from and stop its production and distribution. This drug is not only harmful to humans but is deadlier to his kind. Should be an easy task except he runs into a human cop who is as determined as he is to solve this case..under the human law.
Alexandra Monzelle lives and breathes being a cop. She is determined to be the best at what she does. Because of her family background, she is even more determined to keep drugs off the street. Not knowing what lurks in the dark, she is introduced to the world she didn’t know existed.
I enjoyed Lex and Kel’s story. I was fascinated by their similarities especially their professions. Because they are both aggressive in what they do, I wasn’t sure how they’ll get along…or mate for that matter. But Ms. Zanetti did a great job with making them a good pair. I appreciate that love wasn’t quick for them. Lex is a smart cookie. She knew how to prioritize and assess her situation. As for Kel, well, he knew when to back off and knew when to push. This guy knows how to woo and he knew the right time to seduce.
If you didn’t already know, Realm Enforcers is a spin-off of Ms. Zanetti’s other series, Dark Protectors. I did not know this until, reading about a few characters from this book. I have not read that series, but it was obvious that they already had their happy-endings. Wicked Ride is of the same world as Dark Protectors but rest assured that this book is the first installment of a new series. You can read this without reading Dark Protectors. Though, I think it’s something I’d like to do.
Ms. Zanetti’s world has a different take on the witch world. They are immortal, they can be males and they can create and control fire. This world also included shifters, demons and Vampires that I’m really excited to read more of.
