“THROUGH THE ZOMBIE GLASS does what any sequel to an amazing book should do.  It exceeds all our expectations!” ~Under the Covers

Sometimes a book comes along that surprises you.  That was ALICE IN ZOMBIELAND.  It’s been a while since I’ve been so in love with a YA series, but that book managed to completely capture me.  And let’s not forget the fact that Gena Showalter made me fall in love with a teenage boy.  A bad boy one with tats and who fights zombies in his spare time, but underage nonetheless.

So I’ll admit I was both thrilled, THRILLED, to read this but at the same time I was a bit scared.  Was it as good as I remember?  Will this one be able to keep my interest just as much?  Is it going to be a repeat of the previous book and just more zombie fights?  I know I have said this before because Gena is amazing but, I shouldn’t have worried.

THROUGH THE ZOMBIE GLASS is completely different from the first but just as awesome!  The story is fresh and new.  Catchy and completely engaging.  I had to know what would happen and kept me turning the pages!  Things were going from bad to worst second by creepy second.  Let’s just say I almost thought I would start seeing ZA (or ZF I should say) in my bathroom mirror.  This story walks a fine line and you didn’t quite know which way it would fall.  Just know that you can expect the unexpected.

This book made me mad and made me happy.  But at the same time it also frustrated the hell out of me!  I wanted to shake more than one person at any given time.  Get with the program!  But in the end everything does happen for a reason.

Aside from an engaging storyline we get more COLE!  I admit, I’m in love.  Call it the stupid part of me but even when he’s being an ass (in his typical bad boy way) I’m falling at his feet.  He shows so much love and devotion for Alice, even though I doubted for a small smidgen of time.  I want to lock him away in my basement of book boyfriends and never let him go.  But I’ll let Alice have him for a little while longer.

THROUGH THE ZOMBIE GLASS does what any sequel to an amazing book should do.  It exceeds all our expectations!  Job very well done Ms. Showalter!

Note: this series should be read in order.
