” I just get a vague buzz of disappointment when I think of Not in my Wildest Dreams”
~ Under the Covers
This book has taught me a very important lesson; Don’t judge a book by its cover. Just because it has a rather spectacular set of abs featuring, it doesn’t mean that the contents will be just as enticing. You think I would have learnt this by now, sadly…abs are my weakness and I have been shamelessly exploited. I’m exaggerating slightly, every now and then I decide I’ll try something outside my comfort zone and attracted by the deliciousness of the cover, I decided this would be my book to try. Sadly on this occasion I quickly scurried back in my zone before I expired of boredom.
As you can tell, I kinda didn’t like this book. I didn’t hate it, it didn’t offend me, but everytime I picked it up to read I felt like I was slogging through it, rather than reading and enjoying it. It just didn’t capture my attention, even writing this review I am struggling to remember exactly what happened, who the characters were and why I didn’t like it. Sadly, I just get a vague buzz of disappointment when I think of Not in my Wildest Dreams rather than any details.
It’s safe to say that I won’t be reading any more of this series and I would have to give serious thought to whether I read any more books by the author. However, it does look very pretty in my kindle.
