Elle Kennedy has a scorcher on her hands! HOTTER THAN EVER definitely lives up to its name. ~ Under the Covers
Elle Kennedy has a scorcher on her hands! HOTTER THAN EVER definitely lives up to its name. With two smoking, hot men, readers get twice the hotness and with all the man on man action you get, youโll feel like youโre getting the golden ticket because itโs every girlโs fantasy come true.
The beginning is a complete mess for Claire McKinley. There she is, on the day of her wedding, getting the groomโs brother, Dylan telling her that there wonโt be a wedding anymore. The groom is backing out and to make matters worse, he leaves the venue without telling her itโs over.
Dylan and Claire have never really gotten along before. Two strong minds can do that, but when Dylan offers Claire a place to stay as opposed to going back to her apartment where her jackass ex-fiancรฉ is, Claire reluctantly goes with him. There she meets Dylanโs roommate, Aiden and she experiences a flashback that takes her back to the moment when she accidentally walked into Dylan and Aiden sharing a passionate kiss. Turned on beyond belief, Claire tries to repress those memories but staying in close proximity to both men only reminds her of the passion they share.
I really, really enjoyed this book. The chemistry and the sex is off the charts hot and since there is M/M, M/F, and M/M/F, there is really something for everyone. I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed in the sex at all. Kennedy delivers in spades and then some.
There was one thing I hated about this book and when I say hate, I mean really, really despise and that is Chris, Dylanโs brother and Claireโs ex. Chris aka douchebag/jerk/asshole does the most unbelievable things in this book that caused me to absolutely hate him. Once you thought he couldnโt get any worse, he goes and does the unthinkable, further cementing the fact that he is a complete Douchebag (with a captial D). Kudos to Kennedy for creating a character that I could hate so much.
I know some people will ask whether the mรฉnage a trois was believable. I would say yes. Though there were times when I didnโt like particular scenes in the book, I still believe that Kennedyโs efforts paid off in the end. Since Dylan and Claire didnโt get along beforehand, their talk was vital to overcoming their differences. Misunderstanding is a part of it and Kennedy remedies that with communication between characters. Aiden also adds something to the romance and I loved the fact that Claire revealed that she loved Aiden before she told Dylan her feelings. All in all, I thought it was well-done considering the disastrous circumstances of Dylan being the brother of Claireโs ex.
One thing I wasnโt sure about was the truth about Aidenโs mother. That bomb dropped very late into the book and with only about 40 pages left, I think I could have gone without that knowledge. I donโt think it particularly added anything new to the story. By then, I loved Aiden and loved him in the relationship, so it didnโt feel necessary.
This book has gotten me excited for this series again! With all the familiar characters of past books returning to get their sarcastic quips in, there are plenty of good times as well. This is not a book you want to miss!
