“I’m betting all the heroes in this series will be amazing and that is why I’m getting ahead of the game here and claiming them all. So back off, the Maverick Billionaires are mine!” ~ Under the Covers
I haven’t read anything by Jennifer Skully before but I’ve pretty much read every book Bella Andre has written so I was curious to see what this new series would be like.
BREATHLESS IN LOVE is the first book in the Maverick Billionaire series. Now if you’ve read Andre’s Sullivans’ series then you are probably familiar with her overachieving fun-loving family. I strongly feel that this series will have the same tone and style. You can definitely see Andre’s touch with the heroes at least because WILL IS SO CHARMING AND SWOON-WORTHY!!
Will Franconi not only has heavy pockets, but he is also a woman’s dream come true. He likes fast cars, is incredibly patient and considerate and he has no problem apologizing if he steps over a line. That man is hard to find and it’s probably what makes this book so good. I’m betting all the heroes in this series will be amazing and that is why I’m getting ahead of the game here and claiming them all. So back off, the Maverick Billionaires are mine!
In addition to the great hero, this book also has a fantastic heroine. Harper has lived a very hard life. Her brother might be a teenage but after a car accident that caused some brain trauma, he still has the mind of a seven year old. Since her parents died, Harper has been taking care of him and is loving every minute of it. But that means, she doesn’t have much time for herself.
So when Will comes into her life, charming her off her feet, their romance really feels like something out of a dream or a fantasy. It’s easy to get lost in books like these because I find them uplifting and fun, never dragging you down. That being said, this book is a quick read and is great for a weekend treat or something to take with you to the beach. I will definitely be interested to see what the other stories in the series will hold for us.
