” I can definitely say that this book made me laugh.”
~ Under the Covers
Noel is dreading going home for Christmas and having to tell her crazy family that not only has she split up with her boyfriend after he proposed to her, but that she is also homeless and jobless. But…maybe she doesn’t have to, who knew that accidentally flinging beer on to a passing marine’s trousers would turn in to just the Christmas miracle Noel needed?
Is it a mistake to read something so Christmassy a few weeks after Christmas, whilst you are still experiencing an acute case of the January blues? Maybe. I am not sure if I would have enjoyed this book more if I was still filled with the anticipation and excitement of an upcoming Christmas morning; I will have to test that theory out in eleven months time. But, no matter what the circumstances, I can definitely say that this book made me laugh.
It isn’t a surprise that The Stocking was Hung made me giggle a few times, it was wrote by Tara Sivec after all, her books, despite how much I like them by the end, always manage to squeeze out of me a few chuckles. The source of the comedy was Noel’s crazy but loving family who helped show our heart heavy marine exactly what Christmas was about. As for the romance between Noel and Sam, that was incredibly sweet and yet the sexual chemistry was smoking hot. I really loved seeing them together.
A great Christmas read, hot, funny and sweet, just the kind of thing to put you in the mood for Father Christmas, who should be coming round in the next eleven months or so!
