The New Guy by Sarina Bowen Book Review

I’ve been a huge fan of the Brooklyn series and couldn’t wait to dive into The New Guy! While, yes, this is set in that same world, it’s also going to be a new series of interconnected standalone male/male hockey romances. And I am ready for it!

Kicking things off are Hudson and Gavin. Hudson has been the new guy in the team for a while now, getting traded often and not able to put down roots. He’s the new guy now in Brooklyn with the Bruisers and as much as they are giving him a warm welcome, he can’t seem to stay focused just on the game. Because of the hot athletic trainer who lives next to him. Gavin is a single father after the death of his husband. Getting the new job with Brooklyn is great to manage his responsibilities, but Hudson is an added bonus.

If there is one thing for sure you can expect from a Sarina Bowen book is how addictive it’ll be. Once I started THE NEW GUY I couldn’t stop reading. There’s a tenderness with a good dash of steam that is always there between these two. And let’s not forget the single father aspect. If you’re in the mood for an adorable kid, this is it!

Whenever I’m in the mood for a hockey romance, Sarina Bowen is my go to author. She always delivers an exciting hockey story with lots of heart. I can’t wait for more from this series.
