The Curse of Tenth Grave is emotional and eye opening for Charley Davidson fans. Darynda Jones reveals the true beings of a couple of the characters in this installment. It will surely put you in awe and leave you in need of what’s to come for Charley, Reyes, and Beep.
In this installment, Charley Davidson, the Grim Reaper, and PI is back. And who she is and her duties in this world and or the next are clearer than ever. She continues to be a PI and very good at it. Her assignment is to solve a murder, help a cursed homeless girl and to trap a God. While at it, trying to fix her marital/familial issues.
Darynda cannot go wrong in my eyes. Just as the previous books, I loved this latest installment as much as the first. Charley is as corky and funny as ever but also so very smart and I might say pretty kick ass brave. Reyes is drop dead sexy and still rated top book boyfriend in my fantasy world. I have to say, this book might be the sexiest by far. Charley and Reyes will go through very emotional situations and my heart broke for them. Trust and secrets will get in their way but rest assure, they are as solid as ever. I cannot get enough of this power couple.
The Fiske and homeless girl cases were intriguing but I was most interested in Uncle Bob’s issues, Beeps situations , and the God revelations. How Darynda came up with the connections astounds me. I have an inkling feeling that this series is somehow connected to Ms. Jones young adult series in one form or another. I’m sure time will only tell where this series will take us. I’m excited to see where Darynda will take us in the next installment. Up next, Eleventh Grave in Moonligh

Had mine ordered as soon as it was available to order…now just waiting for it to appear in my post box! Love this series!
This was definitely a fun one. I was glad to get the reveals and mysteries and of course the humor, but that was interesting about Uncle Bob for sure.
Can’t wait to read it! I need to read Ninth soon!
Thanks for the review, I finished the audio version yesterday and now I need book 11.
