ARC Review: Sun Kissed by Amanda Abbott

What happens when life pushes Mallory Baldwin down? Well she gets back up and turns it into a party! So what if her modeling career isn’t up to what she thought it would be, some fun “Mallory style” is exactly what she needs, so when her good friend Antonio invites her to his private island full of sexy singles for a week of sun, fun and plenty of sex, Mallory is all in!

But everything changes when she meets Patrick Conrad, an injured hockey player on the disabled list, who just so happens to be best friends with Antonio. Mallory’s usual promiscuous self zeros in on Patrick and no one else and soon the sexy single life isn’t what she’s craving anymore.

Sadly, this book wasn’t what I expected from Mallory or her soon to be boyfriend. I first met Mallory in the last book of the smoking hot series Pushing the Boundaries and let’s just say our introduction to Mallory was ballsy and hot! Don’t get me wrong I’m so happy she got her HEA and I am really digging on Patrick but I just expected more.

I expected Mallory to find her match sexually as well as emotionally. I’m sure Patrick was packin’ no doubt but I wanted well… more. More sex scenes from an island that encourages hook ups in every nook and cranny. I feel as though she tamed herself sexually so she didn’t scare Patrick away which in my opinion took away from who she is. However, Mallory did stay true to her no filtered mouth and good time attitude. So all in all if Mallory was going to stray away somewhat from whom she is then Patrick is definitely the one to do that with. I am still very interested in what this series has to offer and hopefully it will have more wild sex!
