~ Under the Covers

I was very excited to see that Jennifer Estep was going to write another book in the Mythos Academy series. I have read all the series that Estep has written but I think that this one has to be my favorite. I know, it’s a bit of a shocker, isn’t it? But I just really enjoy the mix of paranormal creatures of this book as well as the humor.

One of my favorite parts of this book is the fact that the series has so many different characters. They’re essentially players and throughout the series and in this book, you get a lot of different fun personalities. In the past, I have felt like Estep’s characters can be a little cold. But with this bunch, I feel a wider range of emotions because of the character’s personalities. I just think that Rory and her friends really fun to read and their banter is what keeps the pages turning.

As expected, this merry crew get into a lot of trouble but it was nice to see the teamwork as well as the twists and turns that Estep puts them through. I found this book very easy to read so I was able to finish it quickly. I am hoping that Estep incorporates a similar camaraderie with her future characters and series because they just feel more affable and approachable to me.
