“I couldn’t get enough of the Kavanagh family”
~ Under the Covers
I was very excited to get to Keiran’s book since getting to know him in Breaking Legend. Though I will admit, I expected a different character. I imagined Kieran to be a little more tough and rough around the edges. But he’s not quite rough. Yes he is tough looking but as gentle as a flower. A big teddy bear if you will. Don’t get me wrong, he is a Kavanagh after all and an ex con at that.
I couldn’t get enough of the Kavanagh family. Every one of them. Though Saving a Legend focuses on Kieran, there was plenty of family page time. I adore their close knit unit and the banter between them cracked me up. I’m giddy to report there is plenty of practice inside the ring between the brothers. There was more drama between the family since Keiran’s jail time had affected them all. Some more than others but my heart broke for Kiera the most.
His position as an ex con made it difficult for people to trust him. But I love that Robinson gave him a chance to find his way. He didn’t always have it together but it was clear that he wanted to work things out.
Meeting Shea and Fiona was his saving grace. He was in awe at their survival and he wanted to be the person to help them. Of course falling for Fiona and loving Shea was super easy. Fiona is one tough heroine taking for care of Shea on her own. Shea’s autism was not easy to deal with for both Shea and Fiona. Robinson clearly did a great job with her research in Shea’s situations. She was on point and every bit as believable.
Overall, another enjoyable read. My only vise is that there was a little instalove between Shea and Kieran. I’m rating this book a solid four stars. I’m excited to read more of the Kavanagh family.
