“…although I enjoyed this book, it was fun and sexy, perfect if you want a quick read, it isn’t a book that stands out for me. ”
~ Under the Covers
I read this book for three reasons:
- For Romanceopoly! To complete Mystery Challenge #1 which is to read a fated mates romance.
- I’ve had it on my kindle for a long time. It’s about time I actually picked it up.
- Bear shifters are a weakness of mine
This is a very traditional type of fated mates romance. Our hero Bunny (the bear shifter) sniffs out his mate. His mate Tabby is also a shifter (a wolf) so the fated mates thing is understood. And reciprocated. Within a few chapters, although they aren’t quite at the i-love-you stage they have accepted their coupledom and are happily starting their life together. It’s adorable, not to mention hot as hell and I really liked them together.
But a book needs conflict to keep it interesting. This comes in the form of some wolf shifters harassing Tabby, which in turn unearths a deeper problem that seems like it will be solved over the course of this series. This book also shows us the potential other couples in the series and the beginning of their relationships. If I’m honest, although I enjoyed this book, it was fun and sexy, perfect if you want a quick read, it isn’t a book that stands out for me.
This series also connects to the Halle Puma series by Dana Marie Bell, although you don’t need to have read it to start this series. If you are looking for a quick light read which goes hot and heavy on the sex scenes and light on the plot then this is perfect.

Awesome review suzanne!! Great cover and sounds good too!Shared on my socials!??
I like low angst, but no conflict at all can get bland. Still… bear shifters are a weakness for me. 🙂
