“I always come to Tara Lain for a sweet and a bit over the top LGBT read.  And she delivers with this new series!  KNIGHT OF OCEAN AVENUE was a sweet and adorable gay-for-you story!  And definitely leaves me wanting more of this series.”

Billy is your stereotypical male, straight male that is.  He dropped out of high school and is now working in the construction field, successfully might I add.  Tests are not for him though, and he feels he can’t do better in life because he’s just not that smart.  In the meantime, he’s made it his mission to take care of his parents financially, putting a lot of responsibilities on his shoulders.  And if he’s not that lucky in love?  Well, he’s not necessarily sweating it.

When his sister is getting married, and he’s just been dumped by his latest girlfriend, he is teamed up with a stylist to make him look more presentable during the wedding festivities.  And it just turns out to be the gay guy from the coffee shop he frequents, whom he always thought was an attractive guy.  In a very non-gay way.

This is a story of discovery for Billy.  Him, the big and muscular construction guy may just be attracted to guys.  It’s always amazing for me to read these stories and then not find a lot of turmoil in that characters mind.  I would imagine this late in life it would be a struggle to come to terms with something like this.  But not so much in Billy’s case.  And it’s all thanks to the hot redhead, Shaz.

I loved Shaz’s character.  He’s totally over the top, exactly what you would imagine that gay stylist that works on weddings, if you know what I mean.  He is also very smart and caring, and I couldn’t help but fall for him almost as hard and fast as Billy.  I liked their chemistry and the fact they both give as good as they take.  They take care of each other.  Both in and out of the bedroom.

I always come to Tara Lain for a sweet and a bit over the top LGBT read.  And she delivers with this new series!  KNIGHT OF OCEAN AVENUE was a sweet and adorable gay-for-you story!  And definitely leaves me wanting more of this series.

About Tara Lain

Tara Lain never met a beautiful boy she didn’t love – at least on paper. A writer of erotic romance, mostly ménage and male/male, Tara loves all her characters, but especially her handsome heroes. A lifelong writer of serious non-fiction, Tara only fell in love with EROM in 2009 and, through perseverance and lots of workshops, had the first novel she ever wrote accepted for publication in 2010. She’s now on book fourteen and counting. After an exotic life of travel all over the world and work in television, education and advertising, Tara settled in Southern California with her soul-mate husband and opened her own small marketing business. She paints, collages, and started practicing yoga “way before it was fashionable”. Passionate about diversity, justice, inclusion and new ideas she says on her tombstone it will read, “Yes”.
