rockstar-week

SAMANTHA TOWLE

Welcome Samantha and thank you for coming to UTC! For those who do not know you, please tell us 5 things that will shock us about you.
Heck, I don’t even have one let alone five – I’m really boring! lol

What prompted you to write a rockstar romance novel?
Nothing as such, it was just an idea that popped into my head one. Though I did put the story on hold for a year and a half before writing.

TMS and WTS have been such a success, did you expect it?! \
Gosh, no not at all! I had myself convinced that people weren’t going to like TMS when I first released it!
How did you celebrate your first release day?
I didn’t celebrate on the first day of TMS’s release, as I was too busy racked up with nerves waiting to see how it was going to be received. Although, when the great feedback starting coming in and TMS started climbing the charts, hubby and I did crack open a bottle of bubbly.

Who is your favorite band/rockstar?
The Killers
Who would you cast Jake and Tru as?
I’ve never found anyone that lives up to the Jake and Tru I have in my head. But there is a model called Micah Truitt who is the closest to Jake that I have ever seen.
Do you have a scene that you had the most fun writing?  Care to share a bit with us about it?
The scene .. well chapter that I’ve had the most fun writing so far is from Wethering the Storm. It’s in Jake’s POV and it’s when he has a night out with the rest of the TMS boys.

Trouble had been long awaited by your fans. Can you tell us more about it?
Firstly, I’ll say – I’m really sorry about the wait! Whenever I’m asked to tell people about Trouble I always get really stumped, as I find it hard to say anything about it without giving away spoilers! But the synopsis is available to read on Goodreads. And as soon as I have more news on the release date, you will all be the first to know.

What is next for Samantha Towle and will we ever see you State side?!

Next, I’m starting work on the third book in my paranormal series Blood Lies, and alongside that I’ll also be starting writing Tom’s book – which is the third book in the Storm series. Yes, you will be seeing me Stateside next year! I’ll be in New York in July for a signing!

Music journalist Tru Bennett has done the impossible: capture the heart of rock-star bad boy Jake Wethers. Now they’re busy planning a wedding and navigating their new life together in the US. Of course Tru misses London and her best friend, Simone, but living happily ever after with Jake in LA is going to be great… right?

Wrong. Even the bright California sun can’t whitewash the dark side of celebrity coupledom. Greedy music execs, merciless paparazzi, and Jake’s wild past are lurking around every corner. Making matters worse, Jake announces he doesn’t want kids, which just may be a deal breaker.

Tru loves Jake more than anything. But when a devastating crisis threatens to destroy everything they’ve fought for, the couple must face the hard truth: What if, this time, love is not enough?

A rock-and-roll love triangle… a music journalist’s story of a lifetime… the bad boy front man who broke her heart.

Tru Bennett was just fourteen years old when her best friend and first love, Jake Wethers, moved from England to America and left her brokenhearted. Now twelve years later, Jake is the world’s biggest rock star, lead singer of The Mighty Storm and every woman’s bad-boy fantasy. Every woman, that is, except Tru.

A successful music journalist, Tru knows better than to mix business with pleasure. But then she receives the assignment of a lifetime: interview Jake before his band launches its highly anticipated world tour. Tru vows to keep the meeting strictly professional—but nothing can prepare her for the sparks that fly the moment their eyes meet again.

Now Jake wants Tru to join the band on tour, offering her a behind-the-scenes exclusive that any journalist would kill for. There’s just one problem: Tru’s boyfriend, Will. Can their relationship withstand Tru hitting the road with rock and roll’s most notorious womanizer? Or will she risk it all for a second chance with the one who got away?

  1. I’ve always been facinated by drummers. If I can I’ll sit or stand where I can watch the drummer the whole night. I haven’t read the mighty storm or the second but the are on my ‘to read’ list.

  2. oooh… sounds fantastic 🙂 I love the drummers/back up guys. They seem like they won’t have the ego like the front runners. Thanks for sharing!

  3. As far as what do I hear first, the bassist but I tend to spread the love on which member I am attracted to >.<

  4. I’m usually drawn to the lead lead singer or lead guitarist. Something about the voice does it for me and even better with a guitar in their hand.

  5. I am drawn to drummers- they can always sense the beat underneath all the other things going on- and are usually intense. sdylion(at)gmail(dot)com

  6. I really love Rock Band stories and want to get into the Storm series! I’ve heard great things and I have Wethering the Storm on my TBR list.
