Ready to get the scoop on Marcus and Daisy? Rock Chick Reawakening by Kristen Ashley delivers big time. This novella dives deep into the backstories of these beloved characters from the Rock Chick series, giving you all the feels and filling in those tantalizing gaps. If you’ve been following the series, you can’t miss this one. If you haven’t started, I do think it’s good to start with book 1 first though.

As I sit here after having finished Rock Chick Reawakening, I am trying to find the right words to convey in a new way what I have said time and again and I’m sure what will continue to be my mantra when reading a work by the extremely talented Kristen Ashley. What are you waiting for, go read this now!!! I feel so lucky to have received an Arc of Rock Chick Reawakening and the only thing I can say is why did it have to end, I am just a greedy fan always wanting more.

The Rock Chick series is a favorite of mine, of which every volume has been reread greedily over and over again. Rock Chick Reawakening tells the story of Marcus and Daisy who are always firm footed characters amongst all the releases in the series before this one. There was always the wonder, the need to read their love story. Ms. Ashley did not disappoint. Although we see glimpses of many beloved characters of the series the story was focused on Marcus and Daisy’s HEA, without any distractions. A HEA so well deserved. I cannot say much as I do not wish to spoil this wonderful love story for any of you.  You meet these wonderful characters at their beginning and see them pick themselves up time and again throughout their lives. I have always cheered for Marcus even though he had quite the dark side when we were introduced to his character and for some time after. So many questions are answered as to how he fell in love with Daisy without prejudice and how Daisy came to be a stripper, while deep down being a true southern lady. Their story told in such a way that I held no judgement on their characters as they were. As every time before when reading a work by Ms. Ashley I have fallen hook, line, and sinker in love within the covers of this tale with 2 outstanding characters. The author’s epilogues are often legendary, full of wonder, magical in their own way and this one though not as lengthy is true to her trademark. This release gave me all the feels and it was like coming home or visiting a favorite place. You just want to sit and stay as long as you can, which in a novella is not nearly long enough lol.

I say this always and it bears incessant repetition, if you have not picked up one of her works yet you are only spiting yourself.  If you have read the Rock Chick Series this is not a story to be missed, this is a story that was missing to make the series complete. I can only hope that this is not the last we will ever hear of this series, all the beloved rock chicks and their alpha loves.  I’m sure this hope is shared by many.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving us yet more to love about Marcus and Daisy and the world of the Rock Chicks and their men, for letting us witness their love story and giving them the miracles they so rightly deserved.
