Wow, this novella is one hot read. I think Ms. Betzold stepped it up quite a bit in the steam factor department. Who knew that that Cris had this side of him!? I certainly didn’t expect it, I guess I should have. From the past two books, Crispin AKA Cris has been the serious and a very intense person. And do you know what they say about the quiet types…..yup! Very naughty! That is Cris indeed. Ms. Betzold showed us exactly how naughty Cris can be. Of course, this novella is not really about that but the fact that Cris gets his own story.
I am so happy Cris finally gets his happy-ever-after. After his heartbreak from My Misery Muse (book 1), he certainly deserves it. I think Ash is the perfect gal for him. She can take everything he dishes out, at least in the bedroom. They do have some struggles that could have been taken care of if only the communication was more open.
Overall, Tribal is a fun and hot read by Ms. Betzold. I like that she had added a bit more of heat in this book. Like I said, I did not expect Cris’ bedroom preferences and most definitely did not expect the addition of bedroom toys. The BDSM element was light and more kink than anything. So don’t expect a full on BDSM book. My only complain is that I wish it was a longer book.
The next book, Believed is about Sam and Jules which is set to release in January, 2014. I enjoy Ms. Betzold’s voice, and I will continue to read her work.
