“I love that Cochet can write smokin’ hot M/M sex scenes, but she can go the other side as well and write sweet, touching fatherly moments with his kids as well.”
~ Under the Covers
I went through the THIRDS series in a frantic fury and then, when it was all done, I found myself lost. That’s the only bad thing about becoming obsessed with a series and binge reading them. When the end comes, you don’t really know what to do with yourself. Thankfully, there are at least two more books —one for Seb and Hudson and one last one for Dex and Sloane —before Cochet dives into the THIRDS universe novels, but she has treated readers with these Beyond the Books type reads.
These aren’t novellas or full-length stories by any means, but they are little snippets or what I like to call ‘Slices of Life’ stories that give you brief glimpse of a specific time in a character’s life that we don’t see in the regular books. A lot of these ones are usually written in the past, where the guys are considerably younger. My favorite thing about this book is the fact that we get more of Tony Maddock. Maddock is such a great guy and it’s even more evident in the pages of this book. We see a lot of him with baby Cael and Dex and stuff like this just warms my heart because in the regular books, we only see him as the tough sergeant and occasionally, that protective fatherly side of him emerges. Here, however, we see it in all its glory and I love that Cochet can write smokin’ hot M/M sex scenes, but she can go the other side as well and write sweet, touching fatherly moments with his kids as well.
So I think if you’re a rabid fan of this series like I am, this series one worth checking out. It’s not that long, but maybe, just maybe, it will tide you over until the next release.

I do sometimes like reading the slices of lives for characters
Yeah, I especially love it when they are fun moments between all the characters.
