Review: The Leopard Prince by Elizabeth Hoyt

So far this trilogy has had such unique heroes and heroines, not your usual young beautiful debutante and the Lords that love them and I am glad that The Leopard Prince has continued that with Harry and Georgina.~ Under the Covers

Lady Georgina Maitland has been called up to Yorkshire urgently, it seems sheep have been murdered on her neighbour’s land and her land steward Mr Harry Pye has been accused of their slaughter. Georgina doesn’t believe Harry could have done it, and the more time they spend together the more she can’t help thinking of him as a man rather then just her land steward.

The Princes Trilogy continues with the story of Harry and Georgina and I loved it! So far this trilogy has had such unique heroes and heroines, not your usual young beautiful debutante and the Lords that love them and I am glad that The Leopard Prince has continued that with Harry and Georgina.

What has stood out for me most about this book was Georgina, she is one of my favourite heroines, she is outspoken, a little imperious and clever and I loved hearing her and Harry banter with one another; it is one of the best aspects of this book. As for Harry, although he was supposed to be plain and quiet, he had a dry wit and intensity about him that made him sexy. The class divide between them was interesting as well, normally I have read books where it is the man who is the Lord and the woman of a lower class, it made an interesting conflict in the book as they have to try and work their way around that. But despite everything together they made a fantastic couple although they seemed opposite they seemed to fit together perfectly.

The only problem I had with this book came in the last parts of the book, which were full of “She would be better without me” “He would be free without me” bullshit. If it had happened once I could live with that, but they both did it and it slowed the book down and it seemed unnecessary, that’s why it has 4.5 stars instead of 5.

But the writing was superb, there were an array of secondary characters, including Harry’s brother who I really hope gets a book at some point and the main characters had a fantastic romance with seriously hot sexual chemistry that resulted in droolworthy sex scenes; I can’t wait to read the next one!
