“The Espionage Effect is full of spies and action, lies and deceit. If you’re looking for a nighttime read before bed, Espionage Effect is definitely that book for you.”
~ Under the Covers
Certain things will haunt you forever like experiencing the loss of a loved one. Devin Hill knows all too well how that feels and it’s something she carries with her every day of her life. On top of being filled with the darkness of her past, she’s also kind of a genius so life can get pretty boring. But not everything is what it seems and soon Devin realizes that her boring life was never hers to control.
A book that started off a bit slow for me and made me feel a bit lost turned itself right around and answered a lot of questions that made me go “oh sh*t”, so don’t give up! You will find yourself doing the “Oh no that did not happen eyebrow raise” and wondering what will happen next. And although the romance didn’t have a real connection for me the story itself had me wondering what happens to Devin Hill after the book ends.
Espionage Effect is full of spies and action, lies and deceit. If you’re looking for a nighttime read before bed, Espionage Effect is definitely that book for you. Just be aware that you might have dreams that you’re Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible and you’ll wake up thinking you’re super kick ass, which you’re not. Go back to drinking your wine and reading, that’s what you’re good at.
