I really enjoyed this book, it had me laughing and crying in equal measure as we go on a journey ~ Under the Covers
15 year old Virginia Shreves feels like an alien in her perfect family, their blonde slim bodies completely opposite to her plus sized plumpness. But when her picture perfect brother is accused of something heinous it changes everything as she reevaluates what is important.
Although I am not normally a young adult fan, I couldn’t resist buying a book with that title! But I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book and really liked the main character Virginia. It has been a while since I have been a teenager (eek!), but reading about Virginia’s insecurities about her weight, her love yet her disconnect from her family made me remember just how confusing and crazy being a 15 year old girl raging with hormones and body issues can be.
What I liked about this book was that although Virginia was dealing with some serious issues and the angst of growing up it was stopped from being an all you can drink whine fest as Virginia’s personality injected with book with humour and fun.
I really enjoyed this book, it had me laughing and crying in equal measure as we go on a journey and watch Virginia deal with her weight issues, her family, boys and everything else that teenagedom can throw at her.

This sounds like a great read…thanks Suz!
Thanks for the review! I have the e-book and the paperback for this and it still keeps getting pushed back. I loved another book she co-authored, so I need to get on this!
