Review: Sugar Rush by Belle Aurora

Helen Kovac has spent years studying so she can get the job of her dreams and she certainly isn’t going to let men or dating interfere with her plans. Even if the man happens to be the extremely gorgeous Max Leokov, the man she hasn’t stopped fantasising about since she met him. But, she can no longer ignore the sweetly infuriating man when he gets her to help with his beautiful daughter Ceecee, soon sparks as well as underwear is flying between Max and Helen.

Do you ever look back and think, thank god I took a chance on something? That’s how I feel about this series, every time I see those glossy red lips on the Friend-Zoned cover, I am glad they enticed me enough to take a chance on the first book, which has now led me to enjoying the third book in this series. Belle Aurora has again delivered a book full of laughter, romance and friendship.

I love a book that makes me laugh and Sugar Rush certainly had me chuckling, the characters and their relationship with each other are often hilarious, as well as touching leaving you with a bad case of the warm fuzzies. However, nothing left me warmer and fuzzier than seeing Max and Helen together, they fit together beautifully and not just in the sexy bedroom (kitchen counter…) scenes.

If you want a read that is romantic, funny and sweet then you need to try this series out. I admit that although it may not offer anything original in the romance genre, what it does give you is a light-hearted, but by no means shallow, read that will leave you with a smile on your face.
