SLEIGH BELLS IN THE SNOW introduces us to the O’Neil family. They run a ski resort in Vermont, or at least some of them do. Grandpa Walter has been in charge for a while after his son died in an accident. But now one of the kids comes back to help grandpa save the resort from imminent financial failure. Jackson enlists a successful New York PR firm to revive the resort. He wants the best, and the best is Kayla Green. Kayla jumps at this opportunity immediately, even if it means getting away from New York during the holidays. Or actually, especially because of that.
I loved this small town wintery feel romance featuring a bit of a clueless and somewhat damaged city girl and a sophisticated business man who has his origins in a loving family. And at the core, that’s what I fell for. The whole O’Neil clan, even though they aren’t perfect, they are endearing. As much as they were able to get Kayla to put down her walls and made her feel part of the family right away, they also got me to care about them as a whole.
I think Kayla and Jackson are a great complement to each other while still having plenty in common. It was a lot of fun to see Jackson wooing her and showing her everything their little town and resort had to offer. Perfect winter romance!
I could’ve probably done with less of a happily ever after and I love yous at the end of this book because the timeframe is pretty short, and without backstory for them it felt a bit rushed. I would’ve rather see them growing closer to that throughout the series. But that’s my only complaint about this.
If you are looking for a good holiday read, and my favorites are always cute wintery small town romances, then be sure to check out this series! You’ll get 2 holiday stories in this trilogy and I will admit after I finished this first book I was more than anxious to see Tyler’s story.

Thanks for the review, I’ve had this on my TBR pile for a while.
Sounds cute…thanks
I enjoyed the review and where you think it came up short. If all falls into place in a big, fat rush, I, too, feel shortchanged. But it is a Sarah Morgan so it will be good.
Thanks so much for your review.
Thanks Francesca for the review
