“Dani Alexander covers ALL the grounds in this steamy and silly read.” ~ Under the Covers

SHATTERED GLASS was one of those books that everyone had read but me, so while I was on my M/M binge read, I thought I would give this one a shot. If you’re a fan of quirky characters and writing (something like Josephine Myles) you’ll probably like this.

What stood out to me as special was the way in which Alexander writes. It takes a more fun approach with the funny subtitles within each chapter. I’ve never seen this before and while it took a bit to get used to, it brings a lot of character to an already fun and exciting book. I definitely enjoyed reading it.

Austin is a straight – or so he thinks. He has a wonderful job and fiancée and seems to get along with her well. There’s nothing wrong to make him unhappy or want to get away from the life he already has. But when he stumbles upon this young man, he is entranced. There’s no other word for it. Something grips him so hard that Austin falls into a mental tailspin as he re-evaluates his sexuality.

SHATTERED GLASS is one of those books that kind of has it all. The humor itself is enough to make you check this book out. The hilarious moments become some of the most entertaining bits in this book. Yet Austin comes across as very approachable and relatable as he falls hard for this stranger. It’s kind of cute actually.

The romance blooms beautifully, creating an believable relationship even though it starts from something very sketchy. The sex is wonderful as well, stemming from the intense sexual tension that is there from page one. Dani Alexander covers ALL the grounds in this steamy and silly read.

About Dani Alexander

The type of books I like to write: I love romance with an edge. A good story with lots of angst and a healthy dose of laughter. My stories will bludgeon you with angst and then make you laugh through your tears (I hope).

I enjoy suspense and my characters often have killers, guns, knives, Albanian women with big hands and/or psychopaths chasing them. Somehow they even manage to have sex during all of that running/investigating. I like writing sex scenes. I love writing sex scenes. But the sex in my stories is never gratuitous.

Speaking of sex, I love kinks. Bondage, masochism, sadism, domination, slave, uniform fetishes, latex, toys. As long as it’s consensual, it’s fair game.

My characters: Quirkier the better. That’s my motto. And lots of flaws. Like me. I’m a giant flaw with one redeeming quality. I won’t tell you what it is. (It’s that I’ve got great fans/readers!)

The vague personal stuff: I’m married. I came out to my husband and he is nothing but supportive. He loves to read my stories and edit, but he refuses to read the sex scenes. This is why I have to read them several times and so does my editor. (I’m totally not making that up…. Really…. totally.)

Also, I have cats. And a dog.
