When I sit here trying to get my thoughts together to explain this book to you, all I can think of is “Holy Angsty Bad Boy Batman!”.  When I originally purchased this title for my Kindle it was free but as of today it is listed at .99 cents… Ninety nine pennies people!!!! The best ninety nine pennies you will ever spend!!!!

“Saving Me” by Alannah Lynne starts out ‘after the before’. When we meet our couple, it’s at a dinner party 18 months after the hottest 1 night stand either of them could have ever imagined. Kat has relocated to a new town after leaving her old advertising firm. The last person she expected to see at her welcome dinner party was Erik “hate the player, not the game” Montegue, the smoking hot lover she walked out on without even a goodbye note. She is mistaken when she thinks that there is no way he would recognize her, as she was as unforgettable as he was.

As they navigate their way around their feelings for each other, both of them come to only one conclusion; they have to have each other just one more time and get it out of their systems. Now come on! Really? So you’re telling me that having sex with the best lay of your life is going to cure you from wanting to have sex with THE BEST LAY OF YOUR LIFE?  Let me know how that works out for you.

This book is so good that it tried to keep me up last night until way past a vampire’s bedtime. As the story unfolds we learn more about why Erik never wants to settle down, which just makes me love the stupid jerkey head even more. The only thing I can suggest to you is that you start this book early in the day, because you are not going to want to stop until the end. I give this book a very enthusiastic 5 feathers.

  7. I loved this book, too. So glad you enjoyed it also. I had some laugh out loud moments also. You hit the nail on the head with your review. You are right about it being the best 99 cents you could spend. If you haven’t read the other 2 in this series….grab them. They are just as enjoyable as book 1 – Savin’ Me.
