... that this book failed spectacularly at holding my attention; I just couldn’t get into it.  ~ Under the Covers

Tamara Winters would rather stay on campus and read her way through Spring Break, but her best (and only) friend Ronni has plans to drag her to the beach and to the real world. But, what Tamara doesn’t know is that Ronni is all part of a plan for her to meet the extremely hot and extremely interested Xavier Solomon, who is desperate for her to get her nose out of her books notice him. But Xavier’s plan soon starts to fall apart when his screw up brother shows up.

Any book with a bookworm as the main character and I am interested, add in a curvy bookworm and I am all over it. It is just a shame that this book failed spectacularly at holding my attention; I just couldn’t get into it.

I am not sure what it was that turned this book into a bit of a yawn fest for me, the characters were okay, Xavier was hot as well as being a great guy and Tamara I was already predisposed to like for her bookworm tendencies. They even had great chemistry, as soon as they met you know they are hot for each other, it was all just so i-have-read-this-before. For me, there was nothing original in it and the writing and the romance were not striking enough for it to hold my attention.

But this wasn’t a bad book per se, but for me it wasn’t a particularly good one either. If you want something that is a little fun and you like New Adult more than I do (I am NOT a fan of it!) you will probably enjoy this more than I did.
