Haley is sick of being a pushover and after five years of living next to her neighbour from hell, Jason, it is the final straw when she catches him brutally digging up her beautiful tulips. Deciding to confront him she grabs her hose and threatens bodily harm. It was an unusual start to a beautiful friendship.
This series is absolutely one of my favourites and is firmly on my auto buy list! If you like your books laugh out loud funny, your characters larger than life (and a little ridiculous) and your romance both sweet and sexy than you have come to the right place.
What I love most about this book is the humour, R.L. Mathewson is truely talented at placing a massive grin on my face as I read the antics of the incredibly gorgeous and yet slightly crazy Jason and see as Hayley almost unknowingly wraps him round her little finger.
This is a book I have read a few times now, and although I admit it probably needs some work with editing and giving it a little polish, I still don’t hesitate to give it the highest rating. Playing for Keeps is full of love and laughs and I highly recommend you give it a try.

This book and the series makes me happy. I have read and re-read when I needed a laugh.
I love funny sexy series and have heard of this series before in passing. After checking Amazon it looks like I have 2 books in this series so I am moving them up in my TBR pile.
ACK…just had a chance to check out the new website. Wanted to comment on R.L. Mathewson. Her books rock–love her sense of humor and this is my fave of the series. Cannot wait to read her newest, which is a switch–an historical in the Neighbors from Hell series.
