“It was so cute and so sweet, so full of romance and sensual touches that all I found myself doing was smiling” ~ Under the Covers
Layla is a Grammy award winning singer who is looking to get out of the spotlight so she can work on her next album, but she finds trouble finding her muse. When Layla receives word that a long lost relative from Paris left her a piece of land in the beautiful rose valleys, she quickly packs up her things and starts her next road trip. What Layla finds at the valley is everything she’s needed, but there is only one problem, the owner of the valley seems to hate her! It’s a good thing he’s cute!
Matt lives for his rose valley so it comes to no surprise to anyone that he is beyond upset when he finds out that a piece of his land was given to some stranger. He’s determined to do anything and everything to keep the land in the family. But when Matt meets Layla his fight for the valley turns into a fight within himself. Does he fight for the valley or for what his heart needs?
Matt’s family is hilarious! Imagine hot bodied men working in the sun, joking around and busting each other’s balls. You can’t get any better than a hot body and a good sense of humor. The quick comebacks and playful banter amongst the family is what makes this book so fun while the chemistry between Layla and Matt builds until the mere act of making out in an alley becomes one of the most sensual things you’ve ever read!
It’s hard to describe this book without giving everything away! So I’ll put it like this, It was so cute and so sweet, so full of romance and sensual touches that all I found myself doing was smiling. I suggest reading Once Upon a Rose on your patio, porch, at the beach or at the park with a nice cold glass of something yummy. It is a perfect read for a perfect day!
