Review: Once Pure by Cecy Robson

“Ms. Robson’s books don’t come with easy endings. It’s why I lover her work.” ~ Under the Covers
Sofia and Killian are childhood friends but despite their obvious feelings for each other, nothing ever came of it. After all, Sofia is his best friend’s sister which means she is off limits. Now that they are adults and perhaps with a little more balls, they get a second chance at what should’ve been a perfect fit. Unfortunately, with their past, a happy union is not going to be easy.
It was nice to finally get Sofia and Killian’s story. It was adorable reading bits of them from the previous books. Their encounters were very cute, romantic and intriguing. But their pasts are neither cute nor romantic. It was full of heartaches and regrets that I just did not expect. Especially Sofia’s past. Wow! I was shocked to find out the things she has gone through. She was in a hell hole, and I’m glad she got out of it.
Killian is everything I expected. He is a big teddy bear! Well, a monster of a teddy bear. Killian is a beast when it comes to his fighting skills but to his family and friends, he is the most loyal, protective and really, a big softie. His personality fits so well with Sofia. But don’t get me wrong, neither of them is perfect. They came with past that almost ruined them both, it wasn’t pretty. Then again, Ms. Robson’s books don’t come with easy endings. It’s why I lover her work.
P.S. Sofia’s brother, Mateo had a good amount of page time. It was quite a treat for me. He is still my favorite from this series. Just sayin.
