“The whole book was like a modern day Romeo and Juliet…I was completely sucked into the book from the very beginning.” ~Under the Covers
Leah has always hated a member of the town where she lives, she just wants the town to get better and she wants the sons of the person who ruined their town to leave. She was brought up to hate a specific family because it was what she was always taught. She did not know that she would question everything that she was taught until she met a member of the family.
Declan came back to town with his brothers because their grandmothers house was left to them. He wants to stay and change the way the town thinks about his last name. He knew that the town would hate him and his brothers because of what his father had done so many years ago. He just did not know that the one person he vowed to stay away from would be the one he fell for.
The whole book was like a modern day Romeo and Juliet. Her family hated his for what his father did to the town. Leah has always thought that Declan and his family were just like his father. She always thought that the saying “like father like son” applied to Declan and his brothers. But the more she got to know Declan the more she realized that she was wrong. Declan tried his hardest to convince Leah that he is nothing like his father. It took a long time but they both started having feelings for each other.
Throughout the rest of the book, Declan and Leah fell more and more in love. Leah had to fight with her father and Declan had to convince Leah and her father that he was nothing like his father. The more Leah and Declan fell for each other the more that her father hated him.
I was completely sucked into the book from the very beginning. The characters were well written and made you feel a part of their lives. It had all the elements of a good romance book. It had drama, love, hate and most of all a happily ever after ending.
I definitely recommend this book to the romance readers who like more drama in their books. I am going to see what else the author has written and see if I like those books just as much as I like this one.
