I really liked the sex scenes in this book. They were perfect for the story and I definitely felt the emotion behind it as well. ~ Under the Covers

NEVER TOO FAR is the second book in the Too Far series and it deals with a lot of the consequences that happened in book one. I don’t feel that it stalled in any way, but progressed smoothly from the last book. Blaire is trying to move on in her life, but one big thing will connect her to Rush forever. What she endures is scary and life-altering, but through that, we also see her character growth.

Rush’s POV is more angsty in this book than the other. He’s tortured over what has happened between him and Blaire and he knows that if given the chance, he will take it if only to be with her in any way that he can. For some of the book, he is kept in the dark and I felt sorry for him. But Rush does stand up in the end.

I really liked the sex scenes in this book. They were perfect for the story and I definitely felt the emotion behind it as well. Sometimes I think authors like to place sex scenes here and there without really giving the characters enough emotional attachment. That’s not the case here. Glines makes sure that Rush is letting Blaire know just how much he is willing to give up to be with her.

I did think the ending was a little rushed. However, knowing that there is a third book calms me a little bit. I can’t wait to see what Glines has in store.

I’ll leave you with one of the lines that made me fall in love with Rush:

“No man has ever loved a woman as much as I love you. Nothing will ever come before you. I don’t know what else I have to do to prove to you that I won’t let you down again. I won’t hurt you. You don’t have to be alone anymore. I need you.”

  1. I’ve heard great things about this author’s work but haven’t had the pleasure of reading any of her books as yet…thanks the review Ann!
