What do you do when every person you meet will forget you in moments? Wulf Tryggvasen, fierce Viking warrior and Dark Hunter lives this life everyday where amnesia affects all those he meets. The only person who remembers him are his DH buddies and Chris, his only blood relative.

But when Cassandra Peters recalls him after the stunt he pulled in a club, Wulf is intrigued by her. Their relationship starts off smoking hot in a bed surrounded by mirrors, but itโ€™s more than just sex between Wulf and Cassandra. As half Apollite, Cassandra is cursed to die and this is a problem because she is the last remaining person of the Apollo line.

Though I liked Wulf and Cassandra together, I canโ€™t say that there were my favorite couple of the series. But that is not to say that their story is not filled with heart or the usual action-packed scenes that Kenyon always provides her readers. All that is in this book and more.

I really enjoyed the side characters in this book, particularly Urien and Phoebe. I thought they had great presence and nice little love story themselves in this book. I wished we could have read more about them.

Acheron has some great moments in this book. A lot of the most memorable lines came from him and it was nice (but also heartbreaking) to read about him. I just adore Acheron!

Speaking of the other DH guys, we see a bit of them in this book. All the previous guys who have their stories told already appear in this book to fight full force against the bad guys. Kenyon also does a great job of intertwining this book with Talonโ€™s, where both stories are occurring at the same time. I just love it when authors do this!

Overall, I enjoyed this book. Iโ€™m really looking forward to the next book, NIGHT PLAY which is Vaneโ€™s book! Yay!

  1. I’m reading the first book of the series right now. Apart from some pieces of the translation that I dislike (I’m reading a translation of the book from English) I’m really enjoying it! It’s great to know this is more than a trilogy ๐Ÿ™‚
