“If you are looking for an unconventional read, then this is the book for you.  KILLING SARAI reads as a thriller movie.” ~Under the Covers

I picked up KILLING SARAI on a friend’s recommendation (thanks Trish!).  I had seen it around a lot but if it wasn’t for her I probably wouldn’t have given it a chance.  The biggest appeal for me was the fact that everyone kept saying “you’ll fall in love with a killer!”  SOLD!

If you are looking for an unconventional read, then this is the book for you.  KILLING SARAI reads as a thriller movie.  Victor is a high-paid hitman.  He’s hired to kill a Mexican druglord who’s kidnapped his client’s daughter.  Sarai was also one of the women this guy had in captivity for many years, and is his favorite, but she sees Victor as her ticket out of hell and sneaks in his car.

I loved the relationship building between Sarai and Victor, how they come to care for each other and help each other out.  Even when you’re not sure what the motives are, or what their next move will be.  And even though it’s a bit of Stockholm Syndrome.

By the end, I can’t I necessarily fell in love with the bad guy but I did come to care for the characters and what happened to them.  And the ending was not what I was expecting.  KILLING SARAI was enthralling because of the originality and the storytelling and I can’t wait to see what the author does next with them.
