For a sexy short that mixes in a little mayhem with your romance, IVAN is an excellent place to start your addiction. ~ Under the Covers

Featuring a sexy Russian hero, IVAN is a short story that explores the world of drugs, violence and mystery. Erin requires the help of this tattooed protector when her drug addicted sister goes missing. At first, Ivan isn’t too keen on helping her, but another side of him that you don’t see when he isn’t running an elite mixed-martial arts center feels something for her. As Erin gets sucked deeper into the dangerous world her sister lives in, she and Ivan become closer and discover a spark of chemistry amidst all the chaos.

Rivera’s writing is fun and sexy, flowing together effortlessly. However, for me, it wasn’t a problem with the writing style, but just how quickly the events panned out and how the characters fell so fast. For its length, I think IVAN is a very good story. Yet I wanted something more. The author zips through the scenes so quickly that it makes me wonder how much more awesome her other books would be if they were longer and took more time to explore the emotions of the characters. It gets me excited because I think I’ve found a new author that I’m eager to explore.

I was most interested in the MMA background that Ivan has, but I learned that this book doesn’t really go into depth of that very much. I think I was just expecting more of that, however, like I said, Rivera skims just the surface of these characters. But they are intriguing enough that I would like to find out more about them.

For a sexy short that mixes in a little mayhem with your romance, IVAN is an excellent place to start your addiction.
