There’s nothing that I love more than a sweet historical holiday romance! So when I saw this novella recently released, I knew I had to pick it up. No, I haven’t read the previous books in this series and in fact I’ve only recently read my first Christy Caldwell book. But this book delivered everything I was expecting.
If you are a fan of adorable but also troublemaker little kids, a single mother, a blue collar hero, class differences and a sweet romance, then look no further than this novella. I read this in one sitting.
There was something understated about the romance between these two characters, which fit so well with their personalities and where they were in life. Unnecessary drama wasn’t drawn out.
You can expect lots of wintery feels, which I loved, snow ball fights included. It works well as a standalone but also gives you a good glimpse into the characters from the previous books. This is definitely a series I’ll need to get back to and read the rest. IT HAPPENED ONE WINTER was just a feel good story with a whole cast of endearing characters. It left me with a huge smile on my face.
