There isn’t much more to say that hasn’t been said before about this book. All the hype surrounding it is true. This is an amazing book and these characters are just larger than life.
I listened to this book in audio and I have to say, it was an excellent choice to do so. The narrator does a fantastic job of doing everyone’s voices so that they are distinctive and unique. I really want to say that I love Ash’s accent most but honestly everyone sounds amazing. I especially like the added special effects. It definitely makes for a fun listen.
Things go from really bad to excellent for Dex in this book. It’s a little slow in the beginning as we get to know Dex as police before he is transferred to the THIRDS. Dex is honestly the best thing about this series. Without him I just don’t think it would be that addicting. There’s just a charming quality to him that I love and can’t get enough of.
While technically the book does end on a cliffhanger, it’s a good one. It’s done in such a way that you immediately want more and for the first time in a long time, I’m binge reading a series again.

Loves cut and run…also glad that even though this ends with a cliffhanger the next book is already out!

Best part of starting a series “late” is no wait between books! I just finished this book and have the next two on my TBR shelf. Despite knowing more than I should about the series from following the author, I’m still enjoying these as my first foray into M/M. I don’t like that EVERY character is gay, or will be, something apparently inherent to the genre. But I do like the mix of adventure, whodunnit, humor, and smexy times.
Yeah. I can understand that and I do have a little tiny issue with this in the fourth book that I mention in my review (it isn’t up yet but will be) BUT trust me, when you meet these guys and fall in love with them. You’re going to want them to each have their HEA. I just adore them.
