Review: Frog by Mary Calmes

[Frog] is one of those uplifting stories that make you believe in love. It also doesn’t hurt that there’s super hot dirty talk either. ~ Under the Covers

Weber is a cowboy who falls in love with neurosurgeon named Cyrus. After their whirlwind affair that seemed to be the one explosive thing in their lives that left a lasting impression, Weber once again seeks Cyrus out.

Weber has quit bull riding. At over forty, his body isn’t working at peak condition anymore. As he makes a stop before he finds another ranch to work at, he finds Cyrus who takes him into his family.

It’s a sweet gesture and one that really sets the tone of the book. Calmes creates the most loving family in Cyrus, his sister and her three children. Some of the children are adjusting to different life events in a bad way. This is where Weber becomes the sitter for these kids, integrating himself deeper into the Benning family. I loved reading his interactions with the children. It displayed just how perfectly he fit into their lives.

Another thing I have to mention is the explosive chemistry between Weber and Cy. The sex is sizzling hot and had some of the best dirty talk between men.

At less than 200 pages, I gobbled up Frog in one sitting. It’s one of those uplifting stories that make you believe in love. It also doesn’t hurt that there’s super hot dirty talk either.
